  • From price is CAD per person, based on double occupancy, and for travel in low season
  • The final price will vary and is also based on the month of travel
  • Prices are subject to change
  • Triple and Quad occupancy have two double beds in the room
  • The tour will operate with a driver-guide in a deluxe Sprinter van if there are nine or fewer passengers on the tour
  • Gratuities to Tour Directors and Drivers are not included unless specified. Gratuity standards are $9 per person, per day for the tour director and $7 per person, per day for the driver

Itinerary

DAY 1: ANCHORAGE ARRIVAL

Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, where your Tour Director will welcome you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Anchorage.

DAY 2: ANCHORAGE TO VALDEZ

After breakfast, tour Anchorage’s historic downtown, Lake Hood, Earthquake Park and the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Travel along the scenic Seward Highway to Whittier, then cruise through Prince William Sound to Valdez. Watch for marine wildlife, glaciers and towering mountains along the way. Overnight in the Valdez area. Meals: B

DAY 3: VALDEZ TO FAIRBANKS

After breakfast, travel north by motorcoach to Fairbanks, Alaska’s Golden Heart City. Journey past Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the United States, and follow sections of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Meals: B

DAY 4: FAIRBANKS

After breakfast, discover Fairbanks and Alaska’s Gold Rush history on a sightseeing tour featuring the Museum of the North. Enjoy free time downtown before cruising the Chena River aboard a classic sternwheeler. This evening, consider an optional authentic Alaskan salmon bake. Overnight in Fairbanks. Meals: B

DAY 5: FAIRBANKS TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK

Travel by motorcoach from Fairbanks to Denali National Park. Enjoy an interpretive hike along Otto Lake, a “Welcome to Denali” presentation and free time at Glitter Gulch. This evening, relax at the lodge or choose an optional dinner theatre, flightseeing, jet boat safari or Iditarod dog kennel experience. Overnight in Denali. Meals: B

DAY 6: DENALI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, explore Denali National Park on the narrated Tundra Wilderness Tour. Look for bears, moose, caribou and Dall sheep while learning about the park’s wildlife and landscapes. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure or join a complimentary park activity or optional tour. Early May and September tours may be shortened due to road conditions. Overnight in Denali. Meals: B

DAY 7: DENALI NATIONAL PARK TO ANCHORAGE

After breakfast, board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic journey from Denali to Anchorage. Watch for views of Denali, black bears and moose along the Susitna River. Enjoy dinner onboard while your host shares stories about Alaska and its historic rail corridor. Overnight in Anchorage. Meals: B, D
