  • The final price will vary and is also based on the month of travel

  • Triple and Quad occupancy have two double beds in the room
  • The tour will operate with a driver-guide in a deluxe Sprinter van if there are nine or fewer passengers on the tour
  • Gratuities to Tour Directors and Drivers are not included unless specified. Gratuity standards are $9 per person, per day for the tour director and $7 per person, per day for the driver

Itinerary

DAY 1: ANCHORAGE ARRIVAL

Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, and seamlessly transition to your hotel for an overnight stay. Opt for either independent transfer with the courtesy hotel shuttle or enhance your experience by purchasing meet-and-transfer services.

DAY 2: ANCHORAGE TO VALDEZ

Breakfast will be included this morning. Enjoy an included local city tour of Anchorage featuring the historic downtown area, lake hood where 190 float planes takeoff and land daily, Earthquake Park to learn about the 1964 Earthquake, and the Alaska Native Heritage Center where you will have the chance to learn about the history and culture of Alaska.

Later, travel south along the scenic Seward Highway to the port town of Whittier. Upon arrival into Whittier board your marine vessel for a scenic journey through Prince William Sound to the town of Valdez. Enjoy the pristine waters as you look out for marine animals, glaciers, and towering mountains. Overnight Valdez area.Meals: B

DAY 3: VALDEZ TO FAIRBANKS

Breakfast will be included this morning. Board the motorcoach for a journey north to the largest city in the interior, Fairbanks; known to Alaskans as the Golden Heart City. The route takes you along the Wrangell- St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S., and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Overnight Fairbanks. Meals: B

DAY 4: FAIRBANKS

Breakfast will be included this morning. Today learn how the gold rush affected Alaska's interior on a sightseeing tour with an included visit to the Museum of the North. Time is available for shopping, walking, or dining on your own in the downtown area. Cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel. Tonight, consider purchasing the optional authentic salmon bake. Overnight Fairbanks. Meals: B

DAY 5: FAIRBANKS TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will be transferred to the Fairbanks Rail Depot where you will board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic train journey south to Denali National Park. This afternoon, enjoy an interpretative hike along Otto Lake at the Denali Discovery Center followed by a reception with a “Welcome to Denali” talk giving you a glimpse of what will be seen on your park tour. DAY 6: DENALI NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast will be included this morning. Today travel into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This journey is narrated allowing for insight into the animals, flora, and fauna of this spectacular region including a snack on the bus. Early May and September tours are shortened due to road conditions.

Enjoy the rest of the day exploring this pristine area at your leisure by either participating in a complimentary park service activity or an optional tour. There are many to choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flightseeing, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River, or a visit to an Iditarod Champions award-winning dog kennel. DAY 7: DENALI NATIONAL PARK TO ANCHORAGE VIA TALKEETNA

Breakfast will be included this morning. Later, board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer south to the climbing town of Talkeetna. Watch for a glimpse of Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River. Upon arrival at Talkeetna, there will be time on your own to explore. Later, board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer south to Anchorage. Tonight, share stories of your Alaskan Adventure with your fellow travelers at an included closing night dinner.
