Continue north through the Mojave Desert into Arizona, then quickly on to Utah. Drive the scenic Virgin River Gorge as the landscape shifts from desert to mountain plateau. Enter Utah, the “Beehive State,” with elevations averaging 6,000 feet. Over the next few days, you’ll explore the Colorado Plateau, home to stunning national parks. Today’s highlight is Bryce Canyon, where spectacular viewpoints like Bryce and Inspiration Point reveal a wonderland of towering hoodoos—unique rock spires carved by nature.

Depart Bryce Canyon and travel through Kanab, once a hub for classic Western films that earned it the nickname “Little Hollywood.” Continue past Page, Arizona, and into the Navajo Nation, where you’ll see traditional Hogan dwellings, sweeping desert landscapes, and the vivid colors of the Painted Desert. Journey onward to Grand Canyon National Park—one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Consider an optional helicopter flight for a breathtaking bird’s-eye view. Overnight in the historic Route 66 town of Williams.

After breakfast, depart Williams, once a thriving railroad hub and the gateway to the Grand Canyon Railway. Continue to Kingman, the largest town on this stretch of the Mother Road, before crossing the Colorado River back into Nevada.
