DAY 1: CATANIA ARRIVAL

Arrival in Catania and hotel check-in (available from 4:00 pm). Before dinner, we will gather for an introduction with our tour guide, who will present an overview of the upcoming itinerary. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Catania, Giardini Naxos, or the surrounding area. Meals: D

DAY 2: SIRACUSA AND NOTO

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Our morning exploration will take us to the historical center of Ortigia, where we’ll marvel at the Temple of Minerva and the enchanting Fountain of Arethusa. The adventure continues with a visit to the archaeological area, featuring the Greek Theater, Roman Amphitheater, the Latomie, and the Ear of Dionysus. Enjoy a delightful lunch during the excursion.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a stroll through Noto, a true gem of Sicilian Baroque. Return to your hotel in Catania, Giardini Naxos, or the surrounding area, and savor a delicious dinner. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 3: TAORMINA & CEFALÙ HIGHLIGHTS

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a scenic drive to Taormina, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore this charming town at your own pace—wander along Corso Umberto, take in breathtaking views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea, or simply soak up the atmosphere of its lively piazzas.

Continue with a delicious stop to savor a local specialty: the renowned Messina granita served with brioche, or, depending on the season, an authentic Sicilian cannolo—a true taste of Sicily’s culinary tradition.

Journey onward to the picturesque coastal town of Cefalù, famous for its stunning medieval streets, sandy beaches, and the magnificent Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a guided visit and time to immerse yourself in its rich history and seaside charm.

In the evening, transfer to Western Sicily. Dinner will be served at the hotel or a partner restaurant, offering regional flavors to complete the day. Meals: B, D

DAY 4: MONREALE & PALERMO – STREET FOOD EXPERIENCE

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Monreale, where you’ll visit the stunning Cathedral and its magnificent Benedictine Cloister, masterpieces of Norman art and architecture.

Return to Palermo for a guided walking tour through its vibrant historic center. Highlights include the majestic Palermo Cathedral, the baroque splendor of the “Four Canti”, and Pretoria Square, with its world-famous “Fountain of Shame.”

The experience continues at Piazza Verdi, where you’ll pause to savor the city’s renowned street food specialties, an authentic taste of Palermo’s culinary culture.

Enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Palermo. Meals: B, D

DAY 5: ERICE, MARSALA WINE EXPERIENCE, SELINUNTE & AGRIGENTO

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the medieval hilltop town of Erice, where you’ll enjoy a short visit and a delightful tasting of traditional almond sweets, a local specialty.

Continue to Marsala, renowned for its historic wine cellars. Visit a local winery to sample fine regional wines, accompanied by a light lunch showcasing Sicilian flavors.

In the afternoon, proceed to the Eastern Hill of Selinunte, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the Mediterranean, where history and myth come alive among ancient ruins.

Journey onward to Agrigento for hotel check-in and dinner. Afterward, experience the magic of the illuminated Valley of the Temples, a breathtaking view of one of Sicily’s most iconic landmarks by night. Meals: B, L, D

Note: If road closures prevent access to Erice, the visit will be replaced with Trapani (without the almond sweet tasting).

DAY 6: AGRIGENTO, PIAZZA ARMERINA, ROMAN VILLA DEL CASALE & EASTERN SICILY

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a guided visit to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.

Continue to Piazza Armerina to explore the extraordinary Roman Villa del Casale, celebrated for its remarkably preserved mosaics that bring to life scenes of daily life, mythology, and sport from the Roman Empire.

Enjoy a traditional lunch inspired by the culinary traditions of Ancient Rome, offering a unique gastronomic experience that connects past and present.

In the afternoon, depart for the eastern part of Sicily. Dinner and overnight stay. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 7: MOUNT ETNA EXCURSION

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on an unforgettable excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, traveling by coach up to an altitude of 1,900 meters. Here, you’ll have the chance to walk along the fascinating Silvestri Craters and take in the dramatic volcanic landscape during your free time.

The experience continues at a local winery, where you’ll savor fine Sicilian wines paired with regional specialties—an authentic taste of the island’s rich terroir.

In the afternoon, journey to Catania for a guided walk through its historic center, followed by free time for shopping or independent exploration.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay. Meals: B, D

Note: In the event of adverse weather conditions, the excursion will reach 700 meters, with a stop in Zafferana Etnea to view the impressive remains of the 1992 eruption.
