DAY 2: HALIFAX
A day of local touring awaits! Discover the rustic charm of the renowned fishing village of Peggy’s Cove where we will enjoy breakfast. Afterwards, we journey along Nova Scotia’s South Shore to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, home to fleets of Grand Banks fishing schooners. Take a walking tour to fully experience one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World, and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage. DAY 3: HALIFAX TO CHARLOTTETOWN
Today, we arrive on Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge. Along the way, we’ll explore the rich Mi’kmaq culture at the Glooscap Heritage Centre & Mi’kmaq Museum. Upon reaching Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada, we’ll settle in for a two-night stay. This evening, enjoy a theatre performance by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts (subject to substitution based on the theatre schedule). Meals: B

DAY 4: CHARLOTTETOWN / PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown, Canada’s birthplace, or join a complimentary walking tour of the city. This afternoon, tour the scenic North Shore of the island. Drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic books. DAY 5: CHARLOTTETOWN TO BADDECK
Take a ferry across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia, then continue to Cape Breton Island, known as the “Scotland of North America,” via the Canso Causeway. DAY 6: BADDECK / CABOT TRAIL
Embark on one of North America’s most breathtaking drives today as you tour the Cabot Trail, which winds along the rugged beauty of Cape Breton’s northern shore, ascending to the dramatic plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Scenic look-offs provide unforgettable views of the island’s rocky coastline, so be sure to have your camera ready. You’ll also visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to explore the remarkable achievements of this brilliant inventor who called Cape Breton home. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 7: BADDECK TO HALIFAX
We get a look into the early days of colonial life with a visit to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. The vivid history of the region comes alive in this accurate reconstruction of one of the major settlements of circa 1744 New France. Roam the streets and chat with authentically costumed guides. After our visit, we proceeded along the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake to the mainland before continuing on to Halifax. Meals: B
