  • Hotel services in the United States customarily do not include breakfast. If you do not wish to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant (where available), you may frequently find coffee shops and restaurants close by which serve good and inexpensive breakfasts. Some hotels do offer a continental breakfast. Usually, this continental breakfast is basic and contains coffee and pastries. Variations between the different hotels may result in the following also being available, cereal, cheese, fruit, etc
  • Each passenger traveling on an escorted tour is allowed one piece of checked baggage per person due to space limitations. Additional luggage will be charged at $7.00 per person per day (price is subject to change)
  • Due to the nature of this holiday, bags are handled many times, so a durable, reasonably sturdy, and clearly labeled bag is required. The Tour Manager will issue you a special luggage tag which should remain on your customer’s bag at all times to help ensure the bag is delivered to, and retrieved from, the hotel room at each destination
  • All coaches are equipped with air-conditioning and an onboard lavatory. Additionally, coaches may have the following onboard amenities: wi-fi, footrests, luggage nets, movable seats, individually adjustable air conditioning, etc
  • Complimentary breakfast may be offered by a hotel and discontinued at any time with or without notice
  • Child 11 years and under with 2 adults sharing existing bedding with minimum child age is 7 years (child rates are on request)
  • We can not accept bookings on motorcoach tours for children less than seven (7) years of age. For all tours, children and young adults under the age of 21 must be accompanied by and share their room with an adult at least 21 years of age. Some hotels may also require that at least one of the room occupants is 21 years of age or older

Itinerary

Day 1: New York City Arrival

Your US and Canada East Coast vacation package begins when you arrive in New York City. You will transfer independently to your hotel where you will meet with your tour director in the evening.

Day 2: Travel From New York City to Boston

Depart NYC for historic New England. Travel along the Long Island Sound to historic Boston, MA. Enjoy a walking tour along the Freedom Trail which begins at the Boston Common and winds beside the State House, King’s Chapel, the Old South Meeting House, the Boston Massacre Site, and the fronts of many taverns and pubs where America’s “Founding Fathers” toasted freedom. Walk the cobblestone streets of historic Beacon Hill, one of the city’s most beautiful neighborhoods.

Day 3: Boston > New England > Québec City

This morning travel through the rural New England states of New Hampshire and Vermont on your way to Canada. You will pass through small picturesque villages and the White Mountains, particularly beautiful during the fall foliage. You’ll cross the international border to enter the Canadian province of Québec. Perhaps visit an authentic maple farm and take the opportunity to sample some of the celebrated French Canadian cuisine (optional).

Day 4: Tour Québec City and Montréal

Begin the day with a tour of Québec City, the French capital of the province, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Québec Provincial Parliament Building and the Citadelle. Then enjoy a walking tour of the walled city, where you will see the grand Chateau Frontenac, as well as unparalleled views of the Saint Lawrence River. Then you may want to enjoy a delicious pastry, baguette, or candy treat or if time allows, may we suggest a visit to Rue du Tresor before departing to Montréal. Upon arrival, go on a tour of Old Montréal, the area known as the “Vieux Port,” with stops at Place Jacques Cartier and Notre Dame Basilica.

Day 5: Montréal > Ottawa > Toronto

Depart Montréal for the capital of Canada: Ottawa. Depart Montréal for Ottawa, Canada’s capital. This vibrant city of parks and flowers boasts one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world. In the afternoon, take the scenic route to Toronto, journeying along the historic Rideau Canal to the St. Lawrence River. Join an optional excursion on the river to see the Thousand Islands before continuing to Toronto, Canada’s largest city, located on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Day 6: Niagara Falls Tour From Toronto

Begin the day with a drive through Toronto’s impressive collection of modern skyscrapers and see the CN Tower, one of the world’s tallest free-standing structures (1,815 ft./553 m). Do you dare to stand on the glass floor located more than 300 meters above Toronto? Continue along Lake Ontario, crossing the Welland Canal, before arriving at Niagara Falls, where you will be amazed at this natural wonder. Stroll along with Table Rock, see the unique Floral Clock and view the thundering water of the Horseshoe Falls. Perhaps take an optional tour on the renowned Hornblower Cruises at the base of the Falls.

Day 7: Niagara Falls > Gettysburg > Amish Country

Next on your US and Canada tour, you will ride through the rolling farmland of upstate New York, known as the Finger Lakes Region, and enter the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. This afternoon, visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, the site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil and the place where President Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. Travel along the Susquehanna River to South Pennsylvania.

Day 8: Tour Amish Country and Travel to Washington

Today, travel through rural countryside to Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Visit an Amish Museum and see their 300-year-old tradition of simple living (admission included). The Amish people live in a world that stopped in the mid1850s. They use no electricity, mechanical devices, or modern equipment. In the afternoon, continue to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

Day 9: Tour Washington, D.C.

Enjoy a tour of the nation’s captial with such highlights as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, and Arlington National Cemetery, the site of the JFK Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply walk the banks of the Potomac River.

Day 10: Washington, D.C. > Philadelphia > New York City
