Itinerary

DAY 1: LONDON ARRIVAL

Arrive at your hotel in London independently. From 3:00 pm: Check into your 4-star hotel, The Thistle Marble Arch, centrally located near Oxford and Regent Streets. Guests arriving early can store their bags at the hotel concierge. Spend the rest of the day exploring London or relaxing at the hotel.

DAY 2: LONDON SIGHTSEEING

Begin with a panoramic tour of London, where your guide will bring the city's myths and legends to life. Enjoy the historic Changing of the Guard ceremony, a captivating display of pageantry. Travel comfortably in our executive coaches with stops to fully experience the city.

Free time for lunch around historic Tower Hill. In the afternoon, visit the Tower of London, a fascinating fortress with a rich history. Explore the Crown Jewels, expanded following King Charles III’s Coronation, and enjoy a guided introduction with free time to explore.

Embark on a relaxing River Thames cruise, offering breathtaking views of London’s iconic attractions.

The tour ends at Westminster Pier, close to attractions like The London Eye and Parliament Square. Continue exploring at your leisure or return to your hotel independently. Meals: B

DAY 3: LONDON, OXENHOLME, HAWKSHEAD & BOWNESS

Meet your Representative next to the concierge desk at the Thistle London Marble Arch Hotel for your transfer to Euston station.

At London Euston station, boarding will begin for the train departure at 8:30 am. Enjoy comfortable Standard Class train travel with reserved seats on Avanti West Coast between London and Oxenholme, with refreshments available for purchase on board.

Arrive at Oxenholme station, the gateway to the Lake District, where your local guide will greet you on platform 1. Discover the stunning landscapes of mountains, lakes, and charming villages that inspired Beatrix Potter.

The day includes a visit to Hill Top Farm, Beatrix Potter’s first Lakeland home, and a tour of medieval Hawkshead village, where both Potter and Wordsworth spent significant time.

Experience a relaxing cruise across Lake Windermere, known for its breathtaking views, and conclude with a traditional cream tea of scones, clotted cream, and jam at Lindeth Howe, Beatrix Potter's former residence, adorned with charming décor.

Upon check-in to your hotel relax before an included dinner sourced from local produce. Meals: B, D

DAY 4: BOWNESS, KESWICK & GRASMERE

Following a delicious breakfast, your second day is dedicated to celebrating the Lake District's stunning scenery. You will be collected from your hotel for a small-group tour showcasing the region’s magnificent mountains, lakes, and valleys from south to north.

On this day, you will visit Ten Lakes, including Windermere, Brotherswater, Ullswater, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Crummockwater, Thirlmere, Grasmere, and Rydal.

Enjoy free time for lunch in the market town of Keswick and visit the Castlerigg Stone Circle, a prehistoric site with a 360-degree view of the surrounding fells, dating back to 3000 BC, possibly predating Stonehenge.

In the afternoon, explore Grasmere, a picturesque Lakeland village and the birthplace of William Wordsworth. Don’t miss the historic gingerbread shop, making gingerbread since 1854.

Dinner is on your own. You can choose from local pubs or restaurants in nearby Bowness. Meals: B

DAY 5: BOWNESS, OXENHOLME, LONDON

After a delicious breakfast, you'll be collected from your hotel in Bowness for the return to Oxenholme train station, arriving just after 11:00 am. Depart from Oxenholme for London on your train. Enjoy reserved Standard Class seats, with refreshments available for purchase on board. Arrive at London Euston train station in the early afternoon, where your experience concludes. We wish you a fond farewell and a safe onward journey. Meals: B

DAY 6: LONDON DEPARTURE
