DAY 1: WELCOME TO ROME

DAY 2: ANCIENT ROME & PIZZA MAKING CLASS
After breakfast, meet your driver at the hotel lobby who will transfer you to the archaeological area of Rome. Upon arrival, discover the secrets of the most famous monument in the city, the Colosseum - an icon of Rome in a small-group tour with special access. After departing from the Colosseum, you will visit its surrounding ruins including the Palatine Hill with the Roman Forum. From above Palatine Hill, make sure you have your camera ready!
At the end of the tour, enjoy time at leisure to discover Rome on your own. Or perhaps have lunch in one of the many restaurants in the city. In the afternoon, make your way to Trastevere, the bohemian area of the city. Here you’ll meet your small group of aspiring pizza chefs and your local instructor. DAY 3: ROME FOODIE TOUR & THE VATICAN
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver who will transfer you to the meeting point of the tour. Meet your local foodie guide and enjoy a walking tour through local food markets, grocery stores, and gelato shops in the areas of Campo De’ Fiori, Trastevere, and the Jewish Ghetto.
We know that walking makes one hungry, that’s why we thought you’d appreciate some pit stops! You’ll enjoy a slice of freshly baked crispy pizza, and deep-fried tomato sauce risotto balls with mozzarella cheese. Pasta will be on the list too, along with some dishes from the Roman Jewish tradition, a deep-fried artichoke that looks like a tiny sunflower, as well as a battered and deep-fried fleshy cod fillet. Save some space for dessert, because we won’t skip our portion of artisan Gelato!
At the end of the foodie tour, meet your driver who will transfer you to the Vatican area, ready to join a small-group tour. DAY 4: TIVOLI AND ITS VILLAS
After breakfast, you will visit Tivoli and its Villas on a private tour. You will meet your driver to transfer to Tivoli, a small town located a few kilometers away from Rome, It’s a world-renowned town for hosting two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It’s here that, back in the 2nd century AD, the emperor Hadrian built his majestic villa. The huge complex includes more than 30 buildings, several swimming pools, and thermal stations.
In the 16th century, much of the remaining marble and statues were removed from Hadrian's Villa by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, to decorate his own villa located nearby - Villa d’Este, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Largely frescoed on the inside, the Villa is surrounded by a unique garden, displaying a complex system of pools, and fountains. At the end of the tour, you will return to Rome. Meals: B
