DAY 1: VENICE TO CORTINA VIA PROSECCO HILLS

Your adventure begins in Venice, where you’ll meet your driver early in the morning. Instead of heading directly to Cortina, you’ll take a scenic detour through the beautiful Prosecco Hills. As you travel through the picturesque Treviso countryside, you’ll immerse yourself in the region’s celebrated winemaking traditions.

The highlight of this journey is a stop at a local winery for a guided tasting of the area’s renowned sparkling wines. Following the tasting, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, offering panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.

After lunch, you’ll continue your scenic drive to Cortina, arriving by early evening with time to settle into your accommodations and perhaps enjoy a stroll through the charming mountain town. Meals: B

DAY 2: PRIVATE DOLOMITES TOUR

Today, you’ll embark on an awe-inspiring tour of some of the Dolomites’ most breathtaking sights.

Your journey begins at the Pordoi Pass, where you’ll ascend by cable car to the “Terrace of the Dolomites.” From this vantage point, you’ll enjoy panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see, showcasing the majestic peaks and verdant valleys that define this stunning landscape.

Continuing your tour, you’ll traverse the Sella Pass, marveling at the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountains. Your next stop is the charming town of Ortisei in Val Gardena, renowned for its rich woodcarving tradition and quaint Alpine architecture. Here, you might want to pick up a handcrafted souvenir to commemorate your journey.

The adventure continues as you make your way through the Gardena Pass, offering yet more spectacular vistas. You’ll then explore the Alta Badia region, home to some of the most picturesque villages in the Dolomites, each nestled in the shadow of towering peaks.

Your day concludes with a visit to the Falzarego Pass, where the late afternoon light paints the surrounding peaks in a warm, golden glow. DAY 3: CORTINA AT LEISURE

Today is yours to explore Cortina d’Ampezzo at your own pace. Known as the “Queen of the Dolomites,” this chic mountain resort offers a range of activities to suit every taste. You might choose to rent a bike and cycle through the valley, breathing in the crisp mountain air as you take in the stunning surrounding peaks.

For hiking enthusiasts, numerous trails of varying difficulty beckon, each offering breathtaking vistas of the Dolomites. If a more leisurely day is your style, you can wander through Cortina’s elegant town center, browsing its charming boutiques and art galleries. Don’t miss the opportunity to ride the Faloria cable car for panoramic views of the town and mountains.

We suggest ending your day with a traditional Ladin dinner at a local restaurant, savoring regional specialties, and reflecting on your Dolomites experience. Meals: B

DAY 4: CORTINA TO BOLZANO

On your final day, you’ll bid farewell to Cortina and embark on a scenic journey to Bolzano, with stops at some of the most picturesque locations in the Dolomites.

Your first destination is the stunning Misurina Lake, often called the “Pearl of the Dolomites.” Here, you’ll witness the serene beauty of the lake’s surface, which acts as a mirror, perfectly reflecting the surrounding peaks.

Next, you’ll visit the emerald-green waters of Lake Braies. This natural wonder, with its crystal-clear waters set against a dramatic mountain backdrop, is a sight to behold. You’ll have time to enjoy lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants (not included), savoring local cuisine while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Your final stop before reaching Bolzano will be the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo, or “Three Peaks.” These distinctive rock formations stand as sentinels over the landscape, their unique profiles etched against the sky.

DAY 5: BOLZANO AT LEISURE & OPTIONAL MERANO AND TRAUTTMANSDORFF CASTLE

Today, immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Bolzano at your leisure. You have the option to add a 2-hour guided tour that reveals the city’s fascinating past.

Stroll through narrow medieval streets, admiring the blend of Italian and German influences in the architecture and lifestyle. Don’t miss the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, home to Ötzi, the famous Copper Age ice mummy.

In the afternoon, you can join an optional tour of the nearby town of Merano, where you can visit the charming city center and explore the beautiful gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.

If you prefer to stay in Bolzano, you can explore the city’s charming squares and arcades at your own pace. We suggest ending your day with a traditional Alto Adige dinner (not included), savoring local specialties and wines that reflect the region’s unique culinary heritage. Meals: B

DAY 6: BOLZANO TO VERONA & OPTIONAL VALPOLICELLA TOUR

This morning, bid farewell to Bolzano as you board a train for Verona. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore the city. Optional train station transfers are available upon request.

In the afternoon, you may choose to join an optional small group tour of the nearby Valpolicella wine region. On this excursion, a local wine expert will introduce you to the area’s renowned wines, particularly the celebrated Amarone. Visit two family-run wineries, where you’ll tour the cellars and learn about the unique production methods that make Valpolicella wines so special. Enjoy guided tastings at each winery, sampling Amarone, Ripasso, and other local varieties, paired with regional products.

If you prefer to stay in Verona, you can visit the Arena, climb the Torre dei Lamberti for panoramic views, or simply relax at a café on the beautiful Piazza delle Erbe. Meals: B

DAY 7: VERONA & LAKE GARDA

Your final full day begins with a short journey from Verona to the shores of Lake Garda.
