Itinerary

DAY 1: MILAN > LAKE ORTA > STRESA > COMO

Benvenuti a Milano! Departure at 8:30 am is from the Hotel Starhotels Ritz in Milan to Lake Orta. Stop in the beautiful village of Orta San Giulio for a short visit. Tour by boat to reach the island of San Giulio, just in front of the village known as The Pearl of the Lake.

After a short visit, you will take the ferry back to Orta and depart to Stresa, a resort town on Italy’s Lake Maggiore. Enjoy the marvelous views of the Borromean Islands directly opposite Stresa. Enjoy free time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Isola dei Pescatori by boat. Continue to the Isola Bella where you might opt for a visit to the Borromeo Palace with its magnificent gardens. Return to Stresa and depart to Como.

DAY 2: COMO > BELLAGIO > BERGAMO

After breakfast, enjoy a visit to Como, a small town with amazing natural panoramas of mountains, Lake Como, and wild alpine valleys. Visit Bellagio by boat, the Pearl of Lake Como is famous worldwide for its beautiful villas overlooking the water. Spend some time strolling this picturesque village with its small streets, luxury hotels, villas, and gardens, stopping for lunch in one of the many cafés in town. Before lunch (not included), we invite you to try a Prosecco as a welcome drink to Bellagio in a typical wine cellar.

In the afternoon, enjoy a panoramic tour before moving on to Bergamo, a truly historic and artistic jewel. After a short walking tour of the city center, check-in at your new hotel for the night. Meals: B

DAY 3: BERGAMO > SIRMIONE > LAZISE > VERONA

After breakfast, departure to Lake Garda, the largest Italian lake. Lake Garda offers splendid natural scenery, full of colors, surrounded by the Dolomites of Brenta in the north and the gentle slopes of the hills in the south. Arrival in Sirmione where the lake offers its best panorama, really sunny with the blue of its waters and the green of its trees. Enjoy a boat tour to have a nice view of the Sirmione Cape, the castle, and the Catullo’s ruins. Next, depart to Lazise, a village in the South-East of the lake, popular for its medieval castle. Free time for lunch before departing to Verona. Meals: B

DAY 4: VERONA > DOLOMITES REGION > CORTINA D’AMPEZZO

Enjoy time to discover Verona, famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, and the Verona Arena, a massive 1st-century Roman amphitheater. A walk through its narrow streets will allow you to get in touch with Verona’s varied and fascinating past. The combination of art and history will surely take your breath away.

Continue to Cortina d’Ampezzo, known, as the Queen of the Dolomites, and is the classic mountain resort. A gem of sheer beauty in the middle of the Italian Alps. The journey will be around Val Cadore among sinuous mountains and little villages that show the history of the territory, and the tradition of craftsmanship, and offer good food and a lot of local museums. En route, visit Pieve di Cadore, the capital of the glasses industry.

DAY 5: CORTINA > DOLOMITES LAKES, VALLEYS & MOUNTAIN PASSES > CORTINA

After breakfast, travel to Lake Misurina the largest natural lake of the Cadore and the jewel between the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Continue to Lake Dobbiaco which is one of the many stunning mountain lakes in the Italian Dolomite mountains. It's a picture-perfect lake with turquoise waters. Visit the Val Pusteria and the Val Badia, which probably are the most popular valleys in the Alps with stunning landscapes.

After lunch (not included), cross the Falzarego Pass, one of Italy's most beautiful passes before returning to Cortina. Meals: B

DAY 6: CORTINA > DOLOMITES LAKES, VALLEYS & MOUNTAIN PASSES > MERANO > BOLZANO

After breakfast, you will be invited to taste the flavourful speck, a kind of smoked ham, typical of the Dolomites valleys. Later, travel through several beautiful Dolomite passes including the Val Parola to the Val Gardena which offers marvelous views. Travel to the Sella Pass and enjoy the landscape of the Val di Fassa.

Through the Costalunga Pass, arrive at Lake Carezza, which is a small alpine lake in the Dolomites. It is known for its wonderful colors. Afterward, continue to the charming alpine town of Merano, known for its spas and art nouveau buildings. You will have free time to explore on your own.

After lunch (not included), travel to Bolzano, the provincial capital of South Tyrol. Bolzano offers an incredible cultural mix of Italian and Germanic influences. Discover the gems of the city including the 13th-century Mareccio Castle, and the Duomo di Bolzano with its Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Meals: B

DAY 7: BOLZANO > WINE ROUTE > TRENTO > MILAN

After breakfast, depart to Trento, which is famous for the beauty of its landscape and the quality of its snow, making it a favorite destination for ski enthusiasts. En route, travel through the wine route where tiny villages like Caldaro and Termeno offer relaxing and amazing views.

Upon arrival in Trento, the capital of the Trentino region. Explore the city known for its architectural and historical marvels, including Buonconsiglio Castle and Trento Cathedral.

Later, continue to Milan where your journey will come to an end. Meals: B
