Itinerary
Day 1: BERLIN
Upon arrival in Berlin, transfer to our hotel. Welcome dinner and orientation. Overnight in Berlin. (D)
Day 2: BERLIN
We spend one full day in Berlin discovering the most important sites of the capital city of Germany. Today we visit such sites as the Bradenburg Gate situation next to the Pariser Platz and the new Reichtag building, now on the border of the Berlin Wall, Parliament of the German Empire. We visit Friedrichstrasse train station and Checkpoint Charlie, which served as connection hubs for travellers between East and West Berlin, as well as Gendarmenmarkt, one of Berlin's most beautiful squares. We will see the Charlottenburg Palace, Alexanderplatz and the Fernsehturm (TV tower), where we end our tour with a visit to the top of the Ferneshturm with a gorgeous panoramic view of Berlin. Day 3: BERLIN - DRESDEN - PRAGUE
Today we leave Berlin and start our journey to Prague with a stop enroute in Dresden. The city is known as the "Jewel Box" because of its baroque and rococo city centre. After lunch (on own), we continue our drive to Prague. Dinner and overnight in Prague. (B/D)
Day 4: PRAGUE
Welcome to Prague, the capital and the largest city of the Czech Republic. Today we explore the city, which is known to many as the "City of a Hundred Towers". We explore the Vltava River and walk to the castle district of Hradcany. We visit St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, the Old Town - a most central and vital part of the city where we later stroll the long winding streets to the Old Town Square. The most popular sites around the square is the Old Town Hall with its' 15th century Astronomical Clock and the Tyn Church with its' two irregular towers. Dinner and overnight in Prague. (B/D)
Day 5: PRAGUE - VIENNA
After breakfast, we depart for Vienna. Upon our arrival the rest of the day is free to stroll, shop and maybe stop at one of the traditional cafes in Vienna's Old City famous for the Viennese "coffee house culture". Dinner and overnight in Vienna. (B/D)
Day 6: VIENNA
Today we explore Vienna, capital of Austria and by far its' largest city. One of our first stops will be the Imperial Palace. Why not try lunch at a typical Austrian bistro? In the afternoon, we visit St.Stephen's Cathedral, Austria's most eminent Gothic building. Dinner and overnight in Vienna. (B/D)
Day 7: VIENNA
We continue our tour of Vienna, first a visit to the enchanting Schonbrunn Palace, one of Europe's most impressive baroque palace complexes. Today, the palace is part of the UNESCO's cultural heritage where Mozart gave a concert in the Hall of Mirrors. We finish the day with a visit to the Danube Tower, a landmark of Vienna, and an incredible view of Vienna's Old City and the Vienna Woods. Dinner and overnight in Vienna. (B/D)
Day 8: VIENNA - BUDAPEST
Today we depart for Budapest, cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and a World Heritage Site. In the afternoon and evening, we explore the most important spots of the hilly Buda side, the medieval Buda Castle District which includes Mathyas Church, the Royal Palace and the view from the Fisherman's Bastion. After dinner ew drive to the Citadel Hill (Gellert Hill) for a breathtaking panoramic view of Budapest. Dinner and overnight in Budapest. (B/D)
Day 9: BUDAPEST
Our tour today takes us to the east side of the Danube, Oest, where we explore this flat side of the river by bus and by foot. Some of the highlights today will be Andrassy Street (World Heritage Site) including the Opera House, Heroes' Square, Vajdahunyad Castle, a visit to the Parliament building, ranked one of the most beautiful in the world, plus we visit the Basilica and the synagogue. Dinner and overnight in Budapest. (B/D)
Day 10: BUDAPEST
