Itinerary
Day 1: CAGLIARI
Arrival in Cagliari airport and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Cagliari. (D)
Day 2: CAGLIARI - NORA - CAGLIARI
After breakfast we visit the historical city of Cagliari, capital of the Region of Sardegna. After lunch, we dedicate the afternoon visiting the archaeological site of Nora, founded by the Phoenician navigators around the 9th century B.C. for its' strategic location in the Mediterranean. We finish our day with a panoramic tour along the Southern Coast. Cinner and overnight in Cagliari. (B/D)
Day 3: CAGLIARI - BARUMINI - SINIS PENINSULA - ORISTANO
Departure for Barumini where we will visit the famous nuragic archaeological complex of "Su Nuraxi". After our visit, depart to the Sinis Peninsula where we will visit the Church of San Giovanni and Tharros. Dinner and overnight on Oristano. (B/D)
Day 4: ORISTANO - NUORO - ORGOSOLO - COSTA SMERALDA
Today we visit Nuoro, the heart and cultural capital of Sardegna. We continour ddrive to Orgosolo, very well known for its' murals. Today your tour guide invites you to a typical lunch with local shepherds, serving meat, cheese and wine. Continue, with arrival in the "Costa Smeralda". Dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)
Day 5: COSTA SMERALDA - ALGHERO - COSTA SMERALDA
After breakfast we depart for Alghero. Arrival and visit of the sites including the Church of San Francisco, the Cathedral, the bastions and the Aragonese towers. (Optional boat excursion to the Caves or Neptune). Return to hotel, dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Day 6: COSTA SMERALDA
Depart for Palau, boarding a local ferry where ew will visit the beautiful archipelago of "La Maddalena". After lunch we will take a walking visit to Porto Cervo, famous worldwide tourist village. In the afternoon transfer to the airport or hotel. (B)
