Itinerary
DAY 1: FLORENCE - SIENA - SAN GIMIGNANO - SIENA
Travel by private car from your hotel in Florence to the nearby Medieval town of Siena; one of the most enchanting cities in all of Italy. Encircled by a Medieval wall, you will be dropped off at one of the city’s eight entrances to make your way to the historical center of town. Take a stroll along the main streets of Siena, Banchi di Sopra, Via di Città, and Banchi di Sotto, before entering the city’s famous shell-shaped main square, Piazza del Campo. Take a moment to admire the Municipal Palace and its famous Bell Tower, Torre del Mangia, before making your way over to the cathedral. Free time will be provided to eat lunch in one of Siena’s charming restaurants before setting off to San Gimignano, a hilltop town that has managed to preserve 14 of its Medieval towers. Return to Siena for an overnight.
DAY 2: SIENA - FLORENCE
After breakfast, spend the morning getting to know Siena on your own. We suggest a visit to the National Picture Gallery or the Basilica of San Domenico, also known as Basilica Cateriniana. In the afternoon, your private car will take you back to Florence, where your tour will come to an end.
