DAY 1: FLORENCE - PISA
This afternoon we will depart from Via Valfonda Piazza for a splendid excursion through the plush Tuscan countryside. Upon arrival in Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty, you will embark on a guided walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli, where you will see the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, and other important monuments. Next, go inside the Cathedral, an unrivaled masterpiece of Romanesque art constructed between the 11th and 12th Centuries. Free time will be provided to explore Pisa on your own, you may choose to stay with your tour escort for a pleasant walk to Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you will see Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world. At 6:00 pm, return to the bus to get your luggage and make your own way to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
DAY 2: PISA, FLORENCE
This morning enjoy breakfast in your hotel, then get ready to explore Pisa at your leisure. You may want to visit the Opera Dome Museum, where you will see many masterpieces that once hung in the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower, and the Baptistery; or you may want to stroll through the National Museum of San Matteo, which boasts excellent work of Giovanni and Nicola Pisano, Masaccio, and Donatello. This afternoon, we will board the bus back to Florence, where your tour will conclude.
