Itinerary
DAY 1: MILAN - GENOVA
Early morning departure for Genova, one of the largest seaports in southern Europe. The first port in all of Italy, this town has an important maritime history. We will visit this modernized “Ancient Port,” filled with restored buildings and new structures, such as the aquarium. Overnight in Genova.
DAY 2: GENOVA - SANREMO - GENOVA
This morning enjoy breakfast at your hotel before we set off for Sanremo, known worldwide for hosting the Italian Song Festival, this little town on the Riviera of Ponente offers great entertainment, sandy beaches and shady promenades to walk along. Visit the famous casino at the top of the most elegant street in town, where you can find trendy clothing shops and chic cafés. After eating lunch on your own, return to Genova, along the way you will pass through other traditional villages of the Italian Riviera. Rest up at your hotel for the adventures ahead.
DAY 3: GENOVA - PORTOVENERE - CINQUE TERRE - GENOVA
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before leaving for Portovenere, a fishing village located on La Spezia Gulf. After a visit in town we will board the ferry to Cinque Terre, a group of five villages perched atop the cliffs of the Italian Riviera. (If weather and sea conditions aren’t ideal, this panoramic tour will be taken via minibus.) Enjoy lunch at you r leisure before we return to Genova for some well-deserved relaxation.
DAY 4: GENOVA - SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE - PORTOFINO - CAMOGLI - MILAN
Today we depart for Santa Margherita Ligure after breakfast at your hotel. This famous seaside town is known for its relaxing beaches and beautiful azaleas. Tucked into the Gulf of Tigullio, this little town is protected on its east side by neighboring resort town Portofino. You will have a chance to visit both Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, two exclusive locations loved by VIPs and artists. In Portofino’s main square, you will have an unrivalled view of the surrounding colorful, picturesque houses. After spending some time in Portofino, we will board a minibus to Camogli, a town with some of the best examples of architecture typical of the Liguria coast. Return to Milan this afternoon, where your tour will come to an end.
