Itinerary
DAY 1: RAPOLANO TERME
Laticastelli is situated near Rapolano Terme, 20 minutes from Siena or less then 1 hour from Florence or Assisi. Laticastelli was originally a castle built in the thirteenth century; it was destroyed and rebuilt into a winery, which then turned into a small medieval village, today Laticastelli continues to maintain its original charm and character. The old cellars were turned into La Taverna where you can taste top quality wines like Brunello Di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Vernaccia or Nobile Di Montepulciano. Visit it’s many terraces and taste some Tuscan Ham, Bruscheta or Antipasti. At the bottom of the valley, close to the river, there is a polo field; farther away olive trees, vineyards and grain fields. Take a moment to enjoy a great lunch in a typical restaurant in the Chianti area. Dinner and overnight stay at laticastelli.
DAY 2: RAPOLANO TERME
This morning enjoy breakfast at the Taverna. Today you will have free time to explore at your own pace. There is so much to see and do in such as: trail riding or taking polo lessons at the club. Just a few minutes away relax at the spa and enjoy a traditional thermal bath. You can also choose to explore a number of wineries or visit nearby picturesque medieval villages and castles. The old fortified village of Lucignano which is a charming round walled town is well worth a trip. Enjoy some lunch in a typical restaurant while in the Chianti area. Dinner and overnight in Laticastelli.
DAY 3: RAPOLANO TERME
This morning enjoy breakfast at the Taverna. Your tour is ended, before departing if time permits we suggest visiting the different towns and explore the open market shopping areas for great traveller treasures.
