Spain Self Drive

Omega Tours has turned Self Drive Programmes into a specialization which has been recognized for many years by our loyal customers. Explore the magic of Spain at your own pace with one of our four, fabulous itineraries:

Classic Catalonia

Catalonia’s charm is in the melted ice-cream architecture of Gaudi, the breezy beaches of Costa Brava, and the serenity of Montserrat, a monastery tucked into mountaintop rock that seems to have dripped from the sky. This eight-day drive winds from Barcelona to Costa Brava, with stops in Tarragona, Montserrat, Girona, and Figueres in between. Stroll Barcelona’s La Rambla, with its spray-painted street performers and fluttering parakeets, get sandy on Costa Brava’s shimmering shores, and discover the surreal world of Salvador Dali on this lively adventure through an irresistible land

Castile Heartlands

Start your Castilian adventure in addictively cosmopolitan Madrid, where regal architecture meets funky neighborhoods, late-night tapas bars, and museums stocked with priceless art. The next week is filled with Spanish thrills, from the spiraled elegance of Segovia’s Alcazar fortress to the golden glow of Salamanca, with a crackling energy only a college town of 30,000 students could possess. Also on the itinerary: wander the walled city of Avila, birthplace of Saint Theresa, and sink into layers of religion in medina-like Toledo, home to Romans, Jews, and Muslims over the ages

Classic Andalusia

What’s better than a golden day, open road, and breeze-whipped hair? Make that breeze Spanish and that road Andalusian, and you’ve got roadtrip perfection (we can’t improve upon the hair). This drive through Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, and Seville winds across a land where sunsets linger just a little longer, olive trees ripple across the horizon, and Christianity, Judaism, and Islam fuse together in architectural harmony. Discover the staccato sensuality of the flamenco, pulse-raising legacy of the matadors, and the simple beauty of sipping sherry and sharing tapas on a starry Spanish night

The Reconquista Road

Spain is dangerous for daydreamers. Twelve days spent here mean dozens more spent plotting your return. Start in modern, magnetic Madrid before setting off for Toledo, Cordoba, Seville, Cadiz, Ronda, Granada, and Malaga. Sample Manchego cheese, breeze by Don Quixote’s windmills, and contemplate Toledo’s imposing Alcazar. Then, nibble tapas on a riverbank in Seville, dig your toes into sandy beaches in Cadiz, and watch the sunset drip off the Alhambra in Granada. Finish in Malaga, or don’t – after all, that return flight home is optional, really, isn’t it?
